Tier 1 General Highly Skilled Worker Visa
The Tier 1 General category is now closed to new applicants from outside the UK, applicants seeking further leave to remain, applicants seeking indefinite leave to remain, and individuals in any other immigration category within the UK.
However, if your application for settlement as a Tier 1 General migrant has been refused, our immigration advisors can advise on the merits of challenging the decision.
Sole Representative of an Overseas Business
The Sole Representative of an Overseas Business visa category is for businesses that would like to send a senior employee to the UK in order to establish a commercial presence for the company in the UK.
The Sole Representative of an Overseas Business visa allows a senior employee of an overseas business to come to the UK to set up and run a UK branch or wholly-owned subsidiary of the overseas parent company. Indefinite leave to remain (ILR) can be achieved after 5 years in the Representative of an Overseas Business visa category. You can also bring your family members to the UK.
If your application for a Sole Representative visa is approved, you will be given permission to enter and remain in the UK for up to 3 years initially. Beyond this, you will need to submit a further application for leave to remain, which would be valid for 2 years. After 5 years you can apply for settlement in the UK.
